The summer of 2013

I call this the summer of SUPER CAMERON.

Hello everyone, I'm 3 1/2 - - - that means I walk, I talk, I whine, I excite, I entice, I negotiate, I bargain, I say "That's the Deal".

"Hi Guys, I have a good idea" is one of my catch phrases, usually meaning I want to walk to Menchie's

"You can't say that to kids" is something I say to Mommy and Daddy when then say something I don't like, even though I probably deserve whatever they are saying.

"Awww, t(h)anks" - - - I'm polite. :)

For entertainment, in addition to being a superhero and playing with superfast race cars....I read so much. The new MAGIC SCHOOL BUS books are my favourite. I also got to go to my first movies in the theatre this summer, first was MONSTERS UNIVERSITY, and then DISNEY'S PLANES. I'm clearly not supporting Daddy's company very well.

Big news for the summer is that I am now sharing a bedroom with my brother. It is awesome. We talk each morning, play, talk, chase, love, it is great.

Spencer likes bugs, I just run away. My imagination is rampant, and I do things my own way. So, maybe I'll be an engineer, maybe I'll be an animator, maybe I'll find solutions to complex problems at Apple.......who knows.......for now, I just want to be a MONSTER TRUCK MAN. Yes, I'm serious. :)

The pictures here only go up through July......August onwards coming soon, but here is some information on our late summer adventures:

- Aunt Helen had a baby girl, Audrey Edith, just a few short weeks ago. She's so nice. I get to play with BB a lot. We love each other so much.

- We've been to the beach a few times (Zuma/Malibu) and went to the Long Beach Aquarium too. So much fun. I love the Ocean (well, I say I do anyway).

- So, school started mid-August this year, and I'm a DRAGONFLY. Miss Beatriz and Miss Cynthia are my teachers. I play cars with Jack on the steps outside each day after school. More on that, and our late summer 100 degree temperature fun, coming soon......

PHILADELPHIA VACATION - JULY 2013

Our Philly trip was great. We played, went to the Please Touch Museum, went down the world's largest outdoor wooden slide, saw all of my cousins, Aunt Becky came in from camp for a day, got to see and play in GG and Poppy Steve's new house with the deer and playroom, caught fireflies, watched fireworks, went swimming with Uncle Mike and Aunt Mingy and had a lot of fun on the airplanes too.

I amazed daddy

Our nightly ritual goes something like this.......
Around 7:30, Daddy takes Spencer and I in to brush our teeth and take a bath.
After bath, Daddy goes to read Spencer a couple of books and put him to bed, while Mommy gets me ready for bed and reads me my first book, before Daddy comes in for book #2, and both of them put me to bed.

Anyway, Daddy had started ready to Spencer, when I noticed something was wrong. So, I walked down the hall in my bathrobe, and said "Daddy, you missed two pages (I held up two fingers, my thumb and the one next to it)" Now then, Daddy seems genuinely surprised, so I said "Here, I'll show you," at which time I walked in, flipped pages, and showed Daddy that in fact, he had missed the first two pages to Wall-E. Daddy said Thank You, I said "of course" and left the room, closing the door behind me.

So, there you go........

PS - we got our first bounce house today, for a big Memorial Day party. It was super cool!

Disneyland


ON MY 3RD BIRTHDAY, MOMMY AND DADDY AND I WENT TO DISNEYLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME.

The Autopia was so much fun that I rode it twice....once with mommy, once we daddy. We bumped a lot.

Of Course

The title of this post is my current catch phrase.
"Can I have a bite of that.......OF COURSE"
"Will you help me with that.....OF COURSE"
Mommy and Daddy think it is so cute, and polite too.

I'm having full-on conversations now. I have opinions and know what I want to do.

I don't like Daddy's beer (Spencer, aka LANDFILL, does!).

I listen when I want to.

I started soccer today.

I'm 3. Hear me roar.

Being 3

I am loving (I love you Daddy . . . I love you Mommy . . . Where's Spencer and Mommy . . . ), I am caring (oh know, Spencer got hurt), I am considerate ("please" and "thank"), but I can also really be a pain in the butt too (kicking, selective listening, selective eating, etc.). I suppose that makes me THREE.

School is great. I'm doing lots of art. My attention span has gone up. I'm trying to read with mommy and daddy. I'm speaking in full sentences.

I'm going to start soccer lessons next month with my friends.
Daddy promises to teach me to swim this summer in Grammy and T's pool.

3 Years Old

Well, here I am, 3 years old.

It has been quite a month.

We went to Disneyland (just me, mommy and daddy) on my 3rd birthday, so I could meet Mickey Mouse. It was awesome.

Aunt Becky (be-tt-y) came to visit for 10 days. She was so much fun, and we made lots of great food.

We had the family over for a big birthday bash.

Finally, yesterday, we celebrated my 3rd birthday with all of my friends (Jack, Alec, Joya, Elsa and so many others) at Traveltown in the Pennsylvania train car. So cool.

Pictures will come soon, but for now, I wanted to give you some vitals as I pass by my 36th month:
Height: 35 1/4" (5th %)
Weight: 27 lbs (7th %)
Head: 19" (20th %)
Dr Howie says I'm doing great, and my development is ideal. Here's to a fun year ahead.

Happy New Year!

What a year 2012 was....I started interacting with my brother (CHASE!), and he is my best friend, even if I take his toys.....I started school.......I started talking in sentences......I have made real friendships (Alec, Jack, Max and so many more)......I got my first car (it seats one)........BB and I have gotten close......so many visits with GG, Too Too, Grammy, T, and other loving family. I'm really growing up. This month, I turn 3, can you believe it?!?!?

Over the past couple of months, I have been so so many friends birthdays. I love "sumpin yummy" which refers to anything sweet or non nourishing. Cupcakes and candy corn please? I even asked Santa for candy corn! Over the holidays we went sledding for the first time (so cold), to the zoo with Spencer for his first time, and we got to walk on the same airplane as the President (well, not our current president, who I proudly know is OBAMA!)

My vocabulary is getting pretty strong......but I do have some catch phrases. I'll call them "Cameronisms...."
- I'm regressing to match Spencer (don't want him to feel bad or anything), so Mommy is now MaMa and Daddy is now DaDa.
- "Oh Dear" Well, let's just say there are quite a few "oh dear" moments
- "I love you." This is my distraction and diversion technique. I learned it from Vienna in school. She is a bad (but cute) influence!

I still hang in my crib. It is warm, comphy, monkey lives there, and there is ample parking for cars. I can sit in there and talk for an hour (someone usually gets me before that time, child protective services). I did go through a "bad dreams" spell, but I read some books, and it went away.

I'm pretty good at this Potty Training thing. A few accidents here and there, but I am 100% full-fledged in undies during waking hours. I have CARS undies, THOMAS undies, and MICKEY undies.

Speaking of which, my editor is contemplating that I might actually like MICKEY more than CARS these days.....hmmmmmm..........

And, speaking of "Hmmmmmm....," I say that a lot. It just shows I am thinking.

School is great. I like it alot. I sung in the holiday pageant. Just don't ask Daddy what! I am learning so much, and Miss Dora and Miss Sheryll are the best.

Finally, football season continues......only because I am a REDSKINS fan.....like mommy......"EAGLES LOSE" (yes, I predict that before most games), which makes sense because they went 4-12 this season. Daddy is not amused.
