Spring has Sprung

Greetings, and happy spring to one and all. We've had flowers blooming here for months, mainly lillies and daffodils, but for those of you back east and overseas, glad you are digging out from a very snowy winter. I absolutely love the outdoors.....it always calms me down as I look up at the trees and sky, so am glad I get to live in Southern California.

Daddy has been drinking a lot of fresh squeezed OJ/Tangerine juice from the backyard trees....looks yummy, almost as yummy as that Vodka he was drinking last night.....but I'll stick to my yummy yummy milk for right now.

Let's see, in the past week, I have gone to meet some new friends with mommy.....so many cute ladies and their babies. So many friends. Speaking of which, mommy and I are going to take our first class together "Baby's First Class" starting in May - It will be a lot of fun, I just know it.

This past Tuesday, I went to have lunch with Daddy for a second time. This time he was not nearly as rushed. Must have been a good day. I got to see all of the nice people Daddy works with and eat outside at the studio. Fun.

Last night, (vodka reference), I went to my first bar.....a great place called McKay's near where Daddy went to school at USC. It was his 10 year reunion, and Daddy showed me off in my Baby Bjorn. It was very fun, with lots of nice people, and I even squaked when the dean said something about a crappy school called UCLA - everybody laughed. I am so cute.

And, mommy and daddy have been reading to me, teaching me numbers (at least they think they are teaching me something), and I still DO NOT LIKE tummy time....I wish they would just stop.

Finally - milestone, I slept for 5 hours last night.....yes, in a row......

I'm really digging my play mat. I've started batting the hanging stuff in there. It's pretty cool. And I seem to be favoring my left hand. Since Mommy & Daddy are both left-handed, I may just be too...

This week I met a bunch more relatives! Here are cousin Kristen and cousin Thornton. I'm not sure if I should call them Aunt & Uncle or what...

They had fun playing with me. And Aunt Vicki got a kick out of it!

Well, hello East Coast! Great Aunt Bonnie and Pop-pop are finally here from Richmond and Philly. It's a bummer that it's yucky outside - raining, as usual.

Apparently, I am very relaxed in both of their arms. Look at how content I am! :)

OK, I was minding my own business this morning, and thought I liked these doctor people who check me out every now and then......and then they poked me with needles.....three of them - WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??? Well, I didn't like it.....not one bit. Harumph.

So, I did have my 6 weeks check-up as well, and here are the vital stats all of you big people care so much about:
- 9 lbs. 4 oz.
- 20 1/2 inches
- head 14 1/2 inches

size one diapers.
newborn and 3 mos. clothing

More new friends!

Yay! I got a visit from 2 new people today. And I was in such a good mood this morning, so it was fun!! :) This is me with Sue. She's gonna be my great-grandma. That's so cool!

And here is Louise. We had such a good time! I can't wait to see them again.
