The new year is upon us, and I am so excited. The year ahead will take me to nursery school (once mommy and daddy find out where I was accepted, and make a decision.....we applied to 6 schools), my little brother will start walking and playing with me, and I'll take more steps venturing into the world around me.
This has been an amazing year for me........I've started really talking in the past month or so, I've learned to walk, I've learned what things are, and I know what I like.
This week, I counted to 3 for the first time, 1, 2, 3......and I can identify some letters. It is so much fun to learn.
I know last month I reported that I started asking for the potty. Well, I stopped. No potty for me. These diapers are just fine.
Here are some pictures from the past month. So much expression. So much happiness.
As you look at these, may it put a smile on your face. I wish you a wonderful 2012 ahead!
I'm feeding and eating myself. I still am picky, and I still don't like meat very much, but I'm growing and healthy and happy.
I've started to explore outside. I love sticks, and leaves and rocks.
The park is one of my favourite places. I especially love the sliding boards and climbing around, but swings are OK too.
Classic Cameron. Circa November 2011.
Here's a good one from a hike during Aunt Michelle's visit.
More milk please. I still love milk, but am drinking less of it. Now it is smoothies, wawa (water), occasionally some juice, and a beer every now and then.....noooooo, just kidding.
Someone said I should document my first haircut, so here it is in order.......don't touch my hair!!!
OK, so it started off all right....they had lots of cars for me to drive.......
......then I realized what was really going on.......
.......then I tried to reason with mom.......
.........but, reasoning didn't work, so they had to hold me down. Mom held me, and dad tried to reason with me. That didn't work either........
.......so, with mom still holding me, dad bribed me with my first lollypop......yummy.....
.......finally, by the time we were done, my head didn't itch, and I looked 6 months older. :)
Here we are at the christmas tree lot getting my first Christmas tree. We celebrated Chanukkah with menorah's and Christmas with a big tree. Lots of fun this month.
I loved playing in all of the big trees. They smelled so good, and I got to play with sticks. I love sticks.
I'm such a big boy. I put up this tree all by myself (OK, no not really)
Mommy and Daddy took me on a train ride. It didn't go well. I wasn't feeling well. All of us got sick and it was a long line too. Fortunately, GG came the next week, and we went on the train during the day. It was much better. I love trains. I love airplanes!
Grammy looks good with a red bow in her hair, don't you think?
So many boxes, so many presents, so many toys.
Aah, and daddy is home for the holidays. We have gone to see airplanes. We are going to a fun play place today called Noah's Ark, and the best is that mom, dad, Spencer and I are getting to play so much together.......even in the HOT TUB! Woo hoo!
No'rah is menorah.
Ca Ca is Cameron (mommy finds that one funny).
Money goes in the Airplane.
Oh, and I love saying "noooo" with a cute head tilted smile. Also, telling daddy to "Go Away" and playfully pushing him is fun. I have a lot of words......I also have a lot of books and I love to read. I read to my monkey in the crib, and also growl at the gruffalo. Life is fun. Life is happy.
Happy 2012 everybody!

Thanksgiving Update - Gobble Gobble
A short update, as I am very busy running around the house, yard, neighborhood, etc. these days.
Just wanted everyone to know that my Thanksgiving meal comprised of mashed potatoes, black olives, and cranberry sauce! During leftovers yesterday, I also tried stuffing. Super yummy stuff. (oh yes, it is the cranberry out of the can, like daddy likes!)
Some other quick updates.....
***BIG ANNOUNCE*** - I asked for the potty a couple of times this week. Some hits, some misses, but I'm getting to be a big boy!
- I started doing somersault's this week too. Super fun. Daddy helps me sometimes.
More pics to follow, but here are just a couple to keep you smiling (like me, most always smiling!)
Here I am with my new hammer (part of a workbench) on Thanksgiving night. Don't I look dapper in my Burberry sweater?
Mommy and me in the kitchen - probably baking up something super yummy.
Aah, Thanksgiving. Lots of people. Lots of food.
PS - Daddy wanted me to tell you that he still loves the sounds I make when I am playing alone. I talk to the monkey's, have fun with my books and simply have a lot to say.....and it all sounds cute!

Halloween as a Monkey & My First "Stomp in the Rain"
It's been a fun filled month. We've managed to get back to see my friends at "Mommy & Me," Applications are in to lots of Nursery Schools (mommy and daddy seem very confused), Its rained a couple of times, Uncle Mike and Aunt Mingy have come to visit, I'm talking more and more, Isabelle is playing with me a couple of times a week, We're hitting the farmer's market on Sunday's, and I got to walk for trick or treating. Here are some highlights.....
I got invited to my first Halloween party. You wouldn't know it, but I am a monkey. Well, I'm rolling on the floor with my friend Tenay (the blue crayon), which is very monkey-like.
Speaking of being a monkey. Here's a posed shot of me in my best monkey attire.
Oh, but I can be a fireman too. This is circa November 1st, when I am trying to eat my halloween stash, through the wrappers. They are so shiny.
This one is during the big trek up the block. My brother was a pea pod, and I walked up to people's houses to get the loot. Yummy stuff (yes, Mommy and Daddy let me have one piece, my first piece of candy).
Rain, rain, come again....TODAY! Ooh, rain. Now I can look outside when it is raining (which it has twice this month), and say "rain." I got this nifty fireman's raincoat, and Daddy and I went outside to splash in the puddles.
See, here we are outside. It was really coming down. Oh yes, I also took my first shower this past week too......it reminded me of the rain!
Oh, and to commemorate Uncle Mike and Aunt Mingy's visit, here is one of us eating breakfast together. Lots of time is spent around the breakfast table.
Next up.....Thanksgiving! Lots of food, friends and family. Gobble Gobble!

2 quick language updates
I'm starting to make a bit more sense, verbally that is.......
I say "more"a lot! Whenever something is cool, and I want more of it, I say "more." But, the way I say it makes mommy and daddy laugh.......it is more like "mu-oar." Think of me having a thick drawn out New York accent.
Did you know babies cry a lot? Spencer sure does. So, I'd like him to stop. I just say "off." OFF. OFF!!!
It doesn't work. I don't know why. When I say "off" mommy or daddy turn off the lights........guess it doesn't work the same with babies.
Hmmmmm

Pumpkin Patches, A New Wagon and GG/Too Too's Visit
It has been a busy two weeks. I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm a bit jealous that mommy is having to share her time with my brother Spencer, who won't seem to leave her "boob" (yes, I am now saying boob). I've been spotted in the living room, bathroom, on the sidewalk and many other places looking longingly saying "mommmmm." It's OK though, I'll just keep finding her and climbing up on her lap.
Fortunately, I do love Spencer, and just want to smooch him and help him find his way. He cries a bit, and I really don't like it much. Also, GG and Too Too (Mr. Too has been renamed by me) were here the past two weeks, so I got to spend time with them. We played, walked, read, Too and I went through my tunnel together and in the wagon together. I'll give GG credit, for all of this talk about her knees and back, she was a champ with picking me up and sitting on the floor and everything else I made her do.
I understand everything going on around this place. I know when mom and dad are frustrated with me (for pulling out the DVD's or throwing food on the floor or not listening (I hear them)), and when that happens, I just smile or laugh and for good measure will tilt my head a little and give a wave. I'm so cute, it is hard for them to keep from laughing.
Also, I've taken to trying to stand up on the changing table, which daddy really doesn't like very much.
Oh, but I've started helping daddy in the bath with washing myself. I'm a big help. Also, I can help (if I want to) with wiping my hands after meals. I love ELMO and Firetrucks are still super cool!
Mommy and me in the backyard blowing bubbles.
I'm learning to help daddy with the gardening. I really like the watering can, and the side yard.
Too Too was first learning about the tunnel. He soon followed me in, then I found him from the outside as well. Dogs are fun!
GG helped with my bathtime on many nights. I am using new conditioner that smells really good.
GG celebrated her 60th birthday with us. We went out and got her new cool "moon pie" extreme deserts. I wanted her to try the red velvet.
WOW! So many pumpkins. We have arrived at the pumpkin patch.
These pumpkins are bigger than me. I could spend a week here. This place is awesome.
OK, my favourite part of the pumpkin patch has got to be this big cool red tractor. Daddy said I could drive it.......
You all better get out of my way......
We're a family, a family.....on a farm.....better get up early to tend to the crops.......
Hmmm, I do love corn, but I am perplexed as to this variety. It is very pretty.
We're a family, a family.....dressed up like farmers......
Hope someone (GG) is watching Spencer. He's too little to participate.
I found a good one. Let's get this one. OK?
Oh, my first train ride at the farmer's market. It was super. GG went on with me, and we went all around the block. I think I want to do this every week.
Thanks for coming to visit GG. I really had a good time. I hope you did too.
I promise (we'll see) to be a good boy for mommy now that she has to take care of me and my brother on her own. I love you mommy.

Fall 2011 - My First Week With Spencer
Wow - I get a new baby brother (have I mentioned that I am a BIG BROTHER) and Daddy has been home for two weeks straight. This has been so cool. Mommy, Daddy, Spencer and I have spent so much time together.
One of my current favourite things is to have daddy "lie down" (which I am saying) on my playmat, then I jump up and down on top of him. He is so funny. We have been taking lots and lots of walks (in the neighborhood and to Starbucks, where daddy and mommy share a venti iced decaf soy vanilla latte, no whip, and then I get to play with the dregs in the cup. Plus, I'm walking a lot and having fun with daddy on the grass in the front lawn.
I am trying to get as much "mommy time" as possible. A bit challenging, but at least I can smooch Spencer's feet when mommy is holding him.
Monkey is still my best friend. He is in a diaper until we are both potty trained. Mommy and Daddy seem to really like some of the sounds, words, and singing I am doing these days. Bert and Ernie and I sing along together every morning, and I love "daddddddd-en" and "mommmmmmm" a lot! :)
Here are some pics from the last week:
Here's my new doggie hat. I'm so cute (and a bit of a ham!)
Did I mention our Starbucks walks (runs). Don't worry, no caffeine, plus, all I really care about is the cool cup and straw. Howard Schultz, put me on the board!
Nature is fun. I've been rolling around on the grass, and picking up dead magnolia flowers on my walks. I sit on the sidewalk and use them as drum sticks.
Here is me, with "my generation" and the ladies in our lives. A nice group of people to be around.
Speaking of nice ladies, here is my favourite lady. I call her "mommmmmm" and I call her that often (just ask "dadddd-en"). Of course, I am starting to have some 'tude these days, as evidenced by my expression, and the food on the wall near the kitchen table.
My room is so much fun. I put this ball in my tunnel and crawl in after it, until it comes out the other side. Sometimes, Daddy is there to stop it and me.....funny daddy.
This was from Spencer and my first outing, to the farmers market. I always look over to make sure he is OK. After all, I am the big brother!
