On January 17, 2011, I turned ONE! I can't believe that I have been around for a year already. Mommy and Daddy threw me a party with lots of family from near and far. It was great to have Grammy and T & GG and Mr Too and everyone else join me for my big day. Of course, we went with the Dr. Seuss theme, although I am really into balls, and cars, and I'm starting to stack things too, but The Cat In The Hat is still one of my closest friends, so it was good to have him along.
We opened lots of presents, and I had fun, especially with so many people watching me, and so many people for me to watch too. I love interacting with people, and I am saying hello and bye-bye to everyone by waving my hands. I'm even telling mommy and daddy when it is time to take a nap or finish a meal, by waving bye-bye to them. I got lots of balls for a ball pit, which mommy made out of one of my pack n plays. Super fun stuff.
And check out this cake mommy made. Carrot cake. Yummy. I even like carrot juice too. No wonder my nose is still a bit orange. We got to have my party in the back yard, because it was around 80 degrees outside. Not bad for January.
Aah, and here is a party favourite. I've clearly discovered what this tasty treat is (it's a Cameron sized carrot cake, if you weren't there to watch), and decided to dig in. All in!So, it's good to be one. I'm crawling on all fours, and scooting around. Soon, very soon, I'll be walking. Mommy and daddy can make out a few words I say, which is easier for us all. Dr. Howie said I'm starting to grow better. I'm 27.5" long and weigh 17.5 lbs. Still on the small side, but healthy and super cute!
