Hello -

Today is my school's Halloween festival.  I'm going as Charlie Brown's ghost.  SPOOKY.
Daddy will be Charlie Brown.
Mommy will be Little Red Haired Girl.
Spencer will be the Great Pumpkin.

Lot's of things are spooky.  I love halloween.  But, spooky can be scary, so I've been slowly removing my artwork of anything spooky from my room.  Jack O'Lantern's are gone, fire truck is gone, bat is gone.  Hmmmmm.  But, I do like the clothes line for my artwork.

Daddy was on the couch yesterday.  He said he didn't feel well.  Something about surgery and that when I am bigger I can be a doctor to make people feel better.

I got bit at school.  Jack bit me.  I pushed him first.  He keeps getting in my face.  Mommy bought a book saying pushing and hitting are bad.

I listen to Free to Be You and Me each morning.  It makes daddy happy.  I still don't want a doll.

We think Spencer is the musical one in the family.

Mommy finally got her necklace (been waiting a year) with Spencer and my name on it.

We are going to Dylan's house for trick or treating on Wednesday.  Dylan is going to be a ghost too.  His mommy and daddy will be ghostbusters.

I say "dad" and "mom" sometimes now.  It makes me sound bigger.

Here comes Spencer.....gotta go.......

School

I have started school.  I'm a ladybug.

I LIKE IT.

On the afternoon of Sunday, September 9th when Mommy and Daddy gave me my CARS backpack and lunchbox......I said "I Can't Wait."  They thought it was very cute.

I got to CNS in Studio City, and there are 9-10 kids in my class (depending on the day).  2-3 boys and 7 girls.  Miss Dora and Miss Sherril.  They are both very nice.

Daddy made sure to come home from his business trip to Peter Pan's house (London) in time to get me (with Mommy) to my first day of school.  I think they like it too.  Daddy seems like he wants to go to school rather than work.

I've taken to calling people MISTER.
There is Mr. Baby, who comes to wake me up every morning.
Mr. Daddy is well, Daddy.
Mr. Mommy is Mommy.

I'm 2 1/2 so the tantrums come, but they are quick.  I am a good boy.
I like to play with my brother, and my cars, and my playdoh, and my shopping cart, and my firetruck.....and I still love to read.

The potty training isn't going so well, but Mommy and Daddy seem pretty lax about it.

FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2012

A hearty breakfast.  Mommy made me the pancakes and gooey egg sandwich I read so much about in my book "First Day of School."

I'm ready.  Cookie sounds like a good profession.  

Daddy thinks I know I am being funny.  I do.

 I'm not sure who is more excited, me....or Mommy and Daddy.

 I have my lunchbox, and I'm off to school.

Here we go!

I'm a big school boy now.

The summer is hot....I gotta wear shades.

(Really hot, like over 100 degrees many days for the past 6 weeks).

I have started lining up my cars.  Big traffic jam.

The Ladybug daily schedule.

I go to school Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-12:30.

My classroom.  There are 9 or 10 of us each day.

At Leo's birthday party, I was feeling brave, so I climbed all the way up this net.  Wow!

Lots of water table play this summer with Spencer. 

I love that he is getting so big and can play more with me.

I'm sharing my toys with Spencer, sometimes.  :)

A few phrases

Mommy & Daddy really like that I'm talking.....

I'll talk in full sentences, a bit chopped up, but full sentences.

Two "words" I want to take note of, as the parents really think it is cute when I say them:
- Cars (caaaaars), with a nice inflection and partial smile
- Something Yummy (sumpin yu-mee), 4 distinct sylables

Oh, and if you don't know, Finn McMissile and Cars 2 - - - my favourites!

Summertime Fun

Hello Friends -
Sorry I've been remiss on updating the blog, but having a little brother takes up quite a bit of my time.  But, I have 26 new and fun pictures to share with you today.

First, the vitals:
Dr. Howie was quite impressed with me at my 2 1/2 year check-up.  All is looking good.
I'm 34 1/4 inches tall, 25 lbs. 4 oz., and my head is 18 3/4 round.  All-in-all, I'm back on the charts, coming in around the 5th and 10th percentiles.

I'm speaking in sentences (somewhat), I dream about cars, I play with cars, and I'm totally stoked to be starting pre-school in a month.  I'm still precocious, I listen when I want to, but I love mommy and daddy and spencer and GG and Grammy and T and BB......

Daddy took me to a Dodgers v. Phillies baseball game.  My first one.  I liked the ice cream and carrying the beach chairs back to the car.  Not really sure who won (editor's note: Phillies).

I've learned that it is OK to fall asleep in the car (mommy seems very happy about it)

I went up and down steps by myself at Ella's house

Two cute new phrases:
"Something Yummy" (any good food in my tummy)
"Eat Mulch" (at bottom of the big sliding board)

Ooh, yesterday we went to the beach.......I liked the ocean better.
Ooh, yesterday we went swimming at Grammy and T's......I liked watching daddy swim under water.
Ooh, mommy has a new manager.....she seems very excited.

Under Ella's Playgym.  When Daddy asked me about my favourite part of the vacation to Washington State, I said "scooping and loading."  Here's where I did it.
