Welcome Spencer Jeremy Ames!

The official First Birth Picture of Spencer

I, Cameron Bryce Ames, dedicate this posting to the birth of my new little brother, Spencer Jeremy.  Last Tuesday morning I woke up, and Grammy and T were here.  Hmmmmm.  Should have known something was up.....the bump on mommy's belly that she kept calling "baby" was getting bigger, and then suddenly, I wake up to different faces.

Anyway, I'm glad to have a new brother, I think.  I have given him some smooches, as you'll see below, and was very happy to see him in the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.  Now then, I am a bit jealous, as evidenced by my increased clingy-to mommy, and my tantrums with daddy as he tries to "brusha brusha" and put me in the bath each night.  But, mommy and daddy keep saying that I'll love having a little brother.......to torture and torment......haha!!!

This is one of my first shots with Spencer.  I'm asking mommy if I can give him some of my cookie.  See, trying to share already.

I do understand that mommy and daddy love Spencer, so guess I should too.  After all, my parents are always right.  This is a capturing of my first smooch.  He is so little and soft.  He has to wear funny hats all of the time.

Mommy is so funny.  She makes me laugh.  Just a relaxing moment for the three of us in the hospital room.

Aah, daddy was there too.  He looks like he had to sleep on a chair.  Funny, I think he did have to sleep on a chair (it did pull out).   Monkey is my best friend right now.  I love him very much.  Monkey loves Spencer too (but he loves me more).

All 5 of us (including monkey) sat down for a nice reading of The Gruffalo, still one of my favourite books, so we could spend some quality time together.

I think this picture sums it up.  I was given a new airplane (which broke when I got home), and this great book called, "I'm a Big Brother."  It is a very good book, along with "Grover Takes Care of Baby."

But, as you can see, my first thought is to eat the baby.....mommy says that isn't an option.  Harumph.

Daddy wanted me to mention that he thinks the noises and words I say are super cute.  "Ohhh noooo" is the best one.   We also do "it's not too hot, it's not too cold, it's JUST RIGHT."  Oh, and I can point out things I want and things I like.  It's good to be growing up!
